Missi Roti is Chickpea flour flatbread which is a Punjabi speciality and is mostly made during winters in tandoor or clay oven. It is slathered with a good dose of desi ghee before serving and goes well with Indian curries. Here is how to make this roti in dhaba style using a Tawa.

Ingredients for Missi Roti Recipe
- Step-1: Take gram flour and whole wheat flour in a bowl. Roast cumin seeds, carom seeds, peppercorns and dry pomegranate seeds. Pound them to a powder.
- Step-2: Add green chillies, onion, salt, turmeric powder, coriander leaves and mix well. Add sufficient water and knead. Add one tablespoon of oil and the pounded spice powder and knead into a dough.
- Step-3: Cover and rest the dough for about fifteen minutes. Divide into sixteen equal portions and roll into balls. Further roll each portion into a roti.
- Step-4: Heat a tawa and roast the rotis with a little oil till both sides are well done. Serve hot with a dollop of butter.
